This 16-button keypad is based on capacitive sensor TTP229.
It is used as a good alternative to mechanical keyboards in existence, providing more durability in heavy working conditions. The keyboard can be configured as 8 buttons or 16.
Outputs 1-8 are mapped directly to the keyboard connector.
When it is required to connect the 16 buttons will be reading by means of a 2-way (i2c) serial interface.
Once connected the hardware and downloading code to the Arduino, you can press the buttons and observe the results in the Arduino software Serial Monitor.
Number of channels: 16 channels.
Type of communication: I2C.
Supply voltage: 2.5 v to 5v.
You can configure the speed of response, the format of outputs, etc.
